Shell Eco-marathon comes to Asia in 2010

In July 2010, the Shell Eco-marathon will come to Asia with Malaysia being the first country in the region to host the event. The Eco-marathon is a fuel efficiency challenge programme encouraging technology and innovation among today’s youth. It serves as an excellent platform for students to showcase their creativity and innovativeness in meeting the energy challenge, and gain practical experience for the future. THE TRACK

The inaugural event will be held on 8-10 July 2010 at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.The race will take place at the North Track of the Sepang International Circuit.Officially opened in 1999, the Sepang International Circuit is home to the Malaysian leg of the Formula One World Championship and World Motorcycle Grand Prix. Located 85km from Kuala Lumpur city centre, it is easily accessible via highways and railway links.
