The UTM Shell Eco-Marathon team was officially established on September 2009 to compete with other Asian universities in the Shell Eco-Marathon 2010. The team members consists of 15 students from the automotive engineering department.

DESCRIPTION:
The body design of our prototype looks like a catfish, or ‘Ikan Keli’ in Bahasa Malaysia which has an excellent aerodynamic shape. Living in such a rugged and harsh environment the catfish has a very strong determination and a never give up attitude just like our UTM SEMASIA team. The word ‘Claria’ is taken from the Catfish’s scientific name which is ‘Clarias Bastrachus’. While the letter ‘V’ is originated from the word ‘Vehicle’.
